We stay home Christmas Eve and watch TV movies. Then Christmas morning we wake up and open presents while the Cinnamion rolls are baking then we watch the Christmas parade on TV. Later th…

My youngest granddaughter ( 5yrs old) was sitting at the dinner table and my husband was reading to her. My husband is a little on the rotund side and the book talked about what could happen if a ballon got too big around- it would pop. Well she spoke up right then and with her pointer and thumb about 1/4 inch apart she said---" Poppi, you are about this far from exploding!" I though my husband was going to bust a gut laughing as hard as he did. She couldn't understand why poppi was laughing so…

Twas the night before Rama-Kwanzaa-Christmakkah-Bodhi-Yule (hope I didn't leave anyone out) and all through the house many a creature stirred but nary a mouse. The stockings were hung above the turtle tank with care in hopes that some one with wee gifts would fill them while dangling there. Yan…

Do you have lots of ornaments that you have a hard time parting with because they have a lot of sentimental value? Well I do, but I want my tree to look different this year and I can't stand to get rid of all the old ornaments, especially the ones that have a lot of memories. I have come up with an idea of keeping the old and getting something new. I am going to make a wreath with the old ornaments. I have some the kids have made, one from our very first christmas as a married couple and a few f…

This is a new study that will allow for a Bachelors in something other than nursing, automotive repair or being a telephone linesman AND I do all but a few classes on line. The classes I must attend are done on the local community college campus (ACC) Wheeeeeeeee!!! Okay, okay, I know I'm nuts, but my DH kinda did a do…

This is Coco Hubby brought her home 2 days ago and boy I haven't got much sleep. Between potty training and the fact that she howls if she's left alone makes things really wild. Hubby finally got the dog pen finished today so she's outside now. The good thing is I got new throw rugs out of it. The bad par…

I just spent the past 4 days doing a photography gig (donated time and half money collected from taking pictures back to lighthouse museum) and it was well worth it. Had a blast! Tomorrow have to run picture I took of helicopter crew from USCG that we managed to get to do fly over for the show down to the local paper and get them to print it and my article. During the show, I managed to talk to a number of vendors who are interested in having me replicate some of their works in fabric, one of th…

I made this last year and it hangs in my kitchen so I think the new table topper will look good with this hanging over it.
My Back is starting to feel much better but I woke up today with a heahache and stuffy nose. I still have to finish my Christmas Challenge for another group but I have 9 blocks still to ma…

I just added some new pictures from my Quilted Table Yahoo group's Halloween/Fall Swap. I received a beautiful topper made by Joan in Colorado, from the witch pattern I hadn't gotten to yet in this group. I made a Fall runner for my swap partner and posted those pics, too. And since I'm a glutton for punishment, I just signed up for our Christmas table runner project. Just what I need is another project right now, but it's so pretty I couldn't resist.

I talked to my son today, he called me from across the sea (he can't say where) but, he said he can't wait to get some deer jerky and some trailmix. My husband makes the jerky and I make the trail mix -10 lbs at a time. We made some trial trail mixes when he was home last and we came up with one that works well in winter and with a little change of ingredients works in the heat of the summer too.
I think I found the perfect christmas and birthday gift for him. It is a couple of remote controled…
