You do what you need to do and if you get to do what you want to do that is a blessing. Keep your self from getting too stressed. I bet your family counts on you alot and sometimes being a rock is "hard" to keep doing.

There is a vaccine called mdxctla4 that has been developed as a treatment for Melanoma. I have a friend (stage 4) who was in a trial group for this vaccine and as of today, July 24, 2009, Carol has been cancer free for FIVE years!!!!! She took her treatments at the NIH in Maryland. She gave me a Dr. Samlowski in Las Vegas as the o
ne to talk to about the vaccine. ( When I talked to Carol this morning she gave me the only hospital/doctor out west.) There are about 12-15 hospitals that have access to this vaccine and most of them are in the east. The FDA approved this vaccine just last year.
If you want more information please call me, my home phone number is 435-753-7923, my cell is 435-757-7343.

Your quilt will be awesome too - - - I have yours ready to mail tomorrow morning. I have been so busy with work that I didn't have it ready to go....it was made - just not in card ready to go. I love the pastels in yours...what color are you going to use for the sashing and borders? Once I get all mine I will look for the predominate color and pick my sashings and borders from that....and sometimes I add an accent piece also. Can't wait to get them all and get on with the quilt! py

Linda,
Swap 2 starts with the September birthday's and yes I need to get started on them too.
I agree with you on your quilt, it is going to be beautiful. I think I would go with a darker sashing but I have also found that sometimes you just have to wait until you get all the pieces together and then decide. My mom says the quilt speaks to you! LOL I had bought some other fabric for the border in my strip twist and thought that I would use a dark green for the inside border but when I got it to that point I didn't like the fabric I had picked out. the inner border is some of the backing I am using and the outer border is what I was going to use for the inner! Go figure, the quilt just talked to me and said this is how it will look best! I think that is one of the reasons I enjoy quilting so much, you really don't have it all down until the end and it is such a surprise to see how it turns out! Anyway I am excited to see how your blocks will come together and I can hardly wait until mine come!

Hi Linda,
I am an avid EPP (English paper piecing) person and what you received from Ebay is a kit someone had been working on most likey and got tired of making the hexagons.. there are a few good sites to go to:
Paperpieces.com easy directrions
Connectingthreads.com look over to the right and join "Quiltwithus" which has a group just for EPP
Msdesigns.com alsohas many tutorials on using the paper templates used in EPP.
Hope this help,
